What is Spark treatment?

Spark treatment uses a series of bespoke plastic aligners to shape your smile. These thin, clear trays look a bit like sports mouthguards that slot over your top and bottom teeth. Spark aligners are removable, so you won’t need to adjust your diet or oral hygiene routine during treatment.

How does Spark treatment work?

When you visit Straight Smile Centre for your free consultation*, we will use our state-of-the-art scanner to create an accurate digital model of your smile. This model will help our Specialist Orthodontists plan your treatment from start to finish and design your custom aligners.

Once your treatment is planned, your aligners will be 3D printed and hand trimmed and scalloped for an exacting fit. Each set of aligners will be shaped a bit differently to guide your teeth into alignment over the course of treatment.

Instead of coming to our practice for adjustment appointments, you will switch to a new set of Spark aligners as directed by your specialist orthodontist. You can also receive treatment updates on-the-go with the Dental Monitoring app.
